8. Is car window tinting legal in Malaysia?
Yes, window tinting is legal in Malaysia, but there are specific regulations for Visible Light Transmission (VLT). Based on JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan or the Road Transport Department of Malaysia), the following VLT is applicable for a road-legal tint:
Front Windscreen: 70% VLT
Driver and Front Passenger Windows: 50% VLT
Rear Passenger Windows: No limit
Rear Windscreen: No limit

On average, it takes about 4 to 6 hours, depending on your vehicle and tint type. Our professional installers ensure a perfect application every time.

It’s best to wait for at least 7 days for the tint to set fully. After that, you can wash your car as usual; just avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials on the tinted windows.

23. Is it normal to see tiny dust specks, slight haze, or small water bubbles after tint installation?
After professional tint installation, minor dust specks or tiny inclusions that are unobtrusive at ~3 ft in natural daylight are considered acceptable by the IWFA. Temporary haze or small water bubbles are also normal during the drying/cure period and will dissipate.
